We, Filmkit, reserve the right to review and amend any of these Terms of Service at our sole discretion. Upon doing so, we will update this page. Any changes to these Terms of Service will take effect immediately from the date of publication.

Free trial period

We designed our free trial period with the aim of fostering trust and collaboration between you and our team. During this period, we offer several valuable benefits to enhance your experience:

Cloud storage on the Filmkit server.
All Filmkit members can upload their footage directly to our secure server. Once we receive your video, we will professionally edit it within a single workday. When your edited video is ready for your review, you will receive a secure download link. To be sure that we deliver exactly the finished product you need, we support timecode-based comments that you can use to ask questions and request revisions. We will adjust your video in response to your feedback as quickly as possible.

Upgrade or cancel subscription

Yes. You can adjust your subscription at any time to support a higher or lower volume of work, or cancel outright for any reason. Adjustments and cancelations take effect at the end of each subscription period. If you cancel your weekly or daily subscription after three months, you may keep the Filmkit bag. If you cancel your flex subscription after one year, you can keep the Filmkit bag.

Payments and taxes

We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Stripe has earned the payment industry’s most stringent level of certification, PCI Service Provider Level 1, and has proven to be a reliable partner. No customer data is ever saved or stored on Filmkit’s own servers, though we do communicate with Stripe’s servers to obtain shipping information. We accept payment in multiple currencies, and our platform calculates all applicable taxes based on your address.

Shipping

Each Filmkit bag is assembled immediately after you place your order; this includes printing your logo on both sides of the wireless microphone’s windshield. Because we take such care with each order, shipping time varies between one and seven business days. While your materials make their way to you, we will prepare your branding assets for use when we edit and master your video, and you will be free to consult our video training materials.

Terms and guidelines

At Filmkit, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive community where every individual is respected and valued. We firmly believe in equality and welcome diverse opinions and forms of self-expression, provided they do not cause harm to others or oneself. To ensure that our editing standards are aligned with our values, we have established some guidelines.
We do not edit content that promotes or contains:

• Bullying or harassment
• Graphic or violent content
• Hate speech
• Fake news or misinformation
• Explicit sexual content
• Self-harm or suicide
• Copyright infringement
• Scams or fraud
• Malicious software
• Illegal activities

Filmkit’s approach to videomarketing is distinct from the traditional method. We believe in mutual creative input and responsibility with minimal communication to operate efficiently while keeping costs low. Filmkit is a consistent collaboration of trust and automation. In our video masterclass, we discuss some of the boundaries we have established for our editing service. Final edits take no longer than two minutes, ensuring that your monthly videos are concise and impactful. We also teach you how to shoot highly effective videos in just ten minutes, resulting in only a few minutes of raw footage.

Limitations of Use

By using this website, you warrant on behalf of yourself, your users, and other parties you represent that you will not:

1. modify, copy, prepare derivative works of, decompile, or reverse engineer any materials and software contained on this website;
2. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from any materials and software on this website;
3. transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server;
4. knowingly or negligently use this website or any of its associated services in a way that abuses or disrupts our networks or any other service Filmkit provides;
5. use this website or its associated services to transmit or publish any harassing, indecent, obscene, fraudulent, or unlawful material;
6. use this website or its associated services in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
7. use this website in conjunction with sending unauthorized advertising or spam;
8. harvest, collect, or gather user data without the user’s consent; or
9. use this website or its associated services in such a way that may infringe the privacy, intellectual property rights, or other rights of third parties.

Intellectual Property

The intellectual property in the materials contained in this website are owned by or licensed to Filmkit and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

Liability

Our website and the materials on our website are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. To the extent permitted by law, Filmkit makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property, or other violation of rights.
